With a total length of 170 km, it takes its name from the color of its emerald waters. After Castellane (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence), he joined 30 km in a deep gash commonly called the Grand Canyon du Verdon. This gigantic notch whose depth varies between 250 and 750 meters and we believe sculpted by the gods, the result of the fantastic work of erosion on the limestone plateaux Verdon in Provence.

The Gorges du Verdon is one of the greatest natural wonders of Europe. Admire the beauty of the landscape, the green Verdon River and Green Lake St. Croix. You have the opportunity to swim, rent a pedal boat. The view is great.
